An Ascended Master Speaks VIII

Lead With Your Heart

Ascended Master Hilarion

Animosity is the product of a disturbed psyche.  Go a level deeper and calm the heart.
The mind then has no choice but to follow suit.

For many of us, unfortunately, resentment is the flavor of the day.  People annoy us.  Situations frustrate us.  Relationships irk us.  We evaluate people and events and find them less than ideal.  We wish things were better.  There seems to be plenty of life to dislike, each and every day.

The basis of all this judgment is separation consciousness.  We believe that we are separate from other people and things, and even that we are separate from the divine.  We forget our intrinsic divine interconnection with all of creation, and in doing so, generate the thought patterns leading to all our uncomfortable comparisons.

Our mind, because of its origin in physical third-dimensional experience, tends to keep us trapped in separation consciousness.  We need to go a level deeper—to the fourth dimensional crystalline awareness which resides in our heart: our sharing within—to remember our true interconnected nature.  Our sharing within is encoded with divine universal awareness and it allows us to view people and life from the perspective of the one, loving consciousness, aka the sharing.

When we focus our awareness on the link our sharing within provides to the divine, we become calm, even, and clear-sighted.  We remember our true nature as inherently divine and, by doing so, recognize the divinity in others as well. Animosities, grudges, and resentment evaporate in favor of acceptance, approval, and appreciation.  We find it easier to enjoy and appreciate life.

In the dance of life, if we lead with our sharing within, our physical mind will follow along and learn new steps.  We create new beliefs and thought patterns for ourselves, ones which help us view ourselves, others, and life differently, in ways that are more fulfilling and pleasurable.

Let’s take a few minutes to explore how this works.  We will begin by relaxing our breath, slowing our inhalations and exhalations and allowing them to become gentle and even.  While we do so, we’ll picture our sharing within as a globe of golden light in the center of our chest.

Every inhalation makes the globe glow brightly; every exhalation spreads the light out through and around us.  We will continue until we sense conscious connection with our sharing within.  We will feel centered, relaxed, and serene.

We’ll ask our sharing within to help us view someone we resent in a new light.  We will think of the person who bothers us the most, right now.  Perhaps we’re jealous of the success of a coworker.  Perhaps our romantic partner can’t seem to do anything right recently.  Perhaps we feel a family member is rude and obnoxious.  The first person to come to mind is perfect for our purposes.

We will take a deep breath and blow out golden love light from our heart center, to surround an image of the troubling individual.  We will take a few more breaths and let them out gently, watching as our exhalations connect us, the person who annoys us, and the rest of creation in streams of golden light.  We will let calm and easy sensations in our heart remind us that we are all one—including the one we resent.

If we are all one, the judgment we place on this individual would also be true of ourselves and all of creation.  We probably don’t want to live in a world in which we’re annoyed and unhappy with everyone (including ourselves) and everything, for every second of our existence.

The alternative is to believe in the essential loving, goodness of all life.  This belief implies that we, the troublesome person, and all of life are worthy and perfect, through our divine interconnection.  Life then is a series of interactions among blameless and beautiful equals.

From this new standpoint, we’ll take another look at our chosen individual.  Perhaps our coworker now seems hard-working and appreciated.  Perhaps our romantic partner seems amusing and innovative.  Perhaps our family member seems candid and direct.   We can trust that this new and loving outlook reflects the way the divine sees this person—whole and wonderful.

We will thank our sharing within for our fresh and appreciative perspective.  It feels so good to know that we are loved and loving, part of a flawless and magnificent whole.  Our heart has led us down a beautiful path.
