A Happy and Challenging Solar Return
Don’t ask me why, but I have been given to share the astrological chart of my 72nd Solar Return on the Blog. I am both uncomfortable and secure as I do so. Dichotomy, that. But I know why this directive has been laid down for me: time to step up and actually BE All That, and time to make a public statement of my Conscious Intent to do so. And so, without further ado, and promising commentary following, I give you my Solar Return chart, set for where I live now in the High Desert of Southern California.
I have several astrological friends from whom who I invite comment, but let me give you the basics of what I see here, and therefore expect to be characteristic of the coming 12 to 15 months for me. Actually, as Mary Shea tells us in Planets in Solar Returns, the affect may be felt within the three months prior to the beginning and upon the end of the Solar Return year.
This very Blog is an example of the three month pre-SR onset of the Return. It went public just three months ago, on February 1st and coincided with that same effective period three months ago for my Return.
It heralds a year when the subject of the chart (ahem) will face great challenges and internal pressures (see the Grand Cardinal Square crossing over the heart of the chart) but who will live above them through the agency of the powerful Kite Pattern with its feet planted firmly on the solid Now of Saturn.
I see it as a challenging year to which, having projected myself to the other side of it, to September, 2015, I give my wholehearted Gratitude for having arrived “here,” and in such a Joyful, Love-struck state. In short, my connection to Spirit deepens further, my healing prowess comes more to the surface, the public looks favorably on the work that I and my companions produce, my relationship with Jan is more deeply and spiritually activated than ever and through it we heal others. And standing on top of it all is the SUN, festooned with positive aspects from 6 other planets.
There are way too many astrological tid-bits to speak about each of them in a quick post (the Moon-Jupiter conjunction in Cancer, a retrograde Mars, the 7th house Neptune and Chiron and the Grand Square details), but I hope you get the idea. Lots going on, and in a very similar vein as the Concordance chart itself. In consequence, by putting my SR Chart out here, I throw down the gauntlet at my own feet!
So step up, Johnny. This is the year to shed the you for the You. You may be a late bloomer, but Your time is now. Happy New Year!
