5th Anniversary Astrology ~ The 7th House
The 5th Anniversary’s Seventh House:
The 7th house is the home of relationships – with other people, and their ideas. One can never say enough about the role of “The Other” in life. He/She/It is an indispensable part of who we are. It is also the mirror back to one’s Self as well as a view into the “other self.” By sign, in personal charts, it indicates the kind of relationship energy that one would be comfortable with. Planets there will have something to say about the specific behaviors one could expect to see in relationships, of course according to the personality of the planet. For example, Venus would lend an air of femininity, congeniality and affection. Another: Mars is attractive, energetic, active, dangerous and sexual. Look to the sign to see how The Other is dressed. The natural ruler of the 7th is is Libra; its ruling planet, Venus.
And look at Who is in the 7th here in the Anniversary chart! That circle with the cross hairs is the symbol for Mother Earth.1 There could be no more appropriate presence than She who is the object of one of the conscious intents of the Harmonic Concordance: a healing for our Beloved Mother Earth. She is the ground we walk on and the feet we walk with. In this chart, She presents herself in relationship to us, asking that we “partner up” with Her so as to affect a healing for both Her and, as she does so from the house of our mirror, a healing also for ourselves.
In the 7th She is the object of the energies of Mercury, the Sun and Mars sitting in the reciprocal 1st house (you will remember that planets always reflect their energies out into the house opposite their own residences). With Mercury there at the cusp of the 1st house the lines of communication are opened and the Sun sends along those lines its Will, energy, light and creation consciousness to the partner, Mother Gaia. And Mars in the 1st broadcasts its willingness to act and engage with her. Taurus, the first of the Earth signs is the host energy. Here Mother Gaia is at ease and feels secure in the embrace of the compatible Earth energy of Taurus. There, she rests in balance between herself and the three 1st house planets.
While not a Planet, Vesta is one of the four major “Asteroid Goddesses.” As such, she deserves mention here as she is less than 1° away from the 7th House cusp, effectively putting her right there also. She is perhaps the oldest of the goddesses. Priestess of the Flame and Goddess of the Vestal Virgins, she represents the capacity to integrate and focus one’s disciplined energies and commitment on the achievement of a goal for the purpose of experiencing wholeness. And she is perfectly placed in this Anniversary chart

1. Actually, there is no clear consensus as to how and/or where to designate the position of the Earth in the astrological chart. Most calculation programs will use the heliocentric position of the Earth and label it with the cross-haired circle as noted above. Some astrologers insist on the cusp of the 4th house, other suggest that Ceres is the likely candidate. Here we’ll go with the first idea.
