The Sabians Say III
The 2015 Spring Equinox Super-Moon Eclipse
Ordinary people believe only in the possible. Extraordinary people visualize
not what is possible or probable, but rather what is impossible.
And by visualizing the impossible, they begin to see it as possible.

This new Moon in Pisces occurs on the 20th March. It is a major new Moon, the third Supermoon of the year, and, because of when it falls – smack on the Equinox – and the fact that it is a total solar eclipse, it may just be the biggest new Moon of 2015. This new Moon feels like an enormous emergence into a new way of being, a new way of living, a new and vibrant path on so many levels. PLUS, this period sees the end of the Uranus/Pluto square. We’ve had seven exact squares between Uranus and Pluto and this is the last gasp. Many will be breathing a sigh of relief. Many will be seeing whole new opportunities are are inherent in this fabulous new Moon.
It is even more fabulous because the new Moon always represents a time of new beginnings, affirmations and possibilities. This one falls on fabulous Sabian Symbols – backing up that promise. It is, obviously, up to us to make those possibilities ours.
From Wikipedia about solar eclipses: A total solar eclipse will occur on Friday March 20,
2015. A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun, thereby
totally or partly obscuring the image of the Sun for a viewer on Earth. A total solar eclipse
occurs when the Moon’s apparent diameter is larger than the Sun, blocking all direct sunlight,
turning day into darkness. Totality occurs in a narrow path across Earth’s surface, and a
partial solar eclipse will be visible over a region thousands of kilometres wide.
The New Moon is on Pisces 30:
A MAJESTIC ROCK FORMATION RESEMBLING A FACE IS IDEALIZED BY
A BOY WHO TAKES IT AS HIS IDEAL OF GREATNESS, AS HE GROWS UP,
HE BEGINS TO LOOK LIKE IT.
The following interpretation is from my book The Sabian Oracle: 360 Degrees Of Wisdom:
This degree shows the ability that we have of projecting an ideal or an image into the future. This can be an image of what, or who, we’d like to become. We can then grow and emerge into that reality. Sometimes we see an image of ourselves that we’d like to emulate or aspire to or become and it is good to have a goal in life, something that can inspire us, and something to work towards. Truly in this life, we can set our sights high and aim for them, as did the ‘Boy’ who looked on the “Majestic Rock Formation” as “His Ideal of Greatness.” Having an “Ideal” of how we’d like to be can be great, as long as we are not trying to be something that we naturally or intrinsically are not possible of being.
What is that you “Idealize?” What is it that you’d like to project? What image suits the real person inside of you? You may find that you are growing into the “Ideal” that you have imagined and it gives you a sense of pride and fulfillment, assuming you have imagined a positive image. Meditating on a goal or the projection of an ideal can lead to actuality, just be clear about what you really desire in the situation—you just might get it!
Keywords: Concrete manifestation of one’s ideals. Enduring truths. Culmination of efforts. Projections of ideal images. Wanting to be “big” and successful. Tutankhamen’s mask. Wanting a sense of immortality. Defining one’s fate through conscious manifestation. Morphing reality to suit an objective. Ambition. The ability to see life in inanimate objects.
The Caution: Not being at all clear about whom one is or what one can be. Becoming a screen for the projection of other’s ideals. Stony faces that show the hardships of life. Hardening of one’s personality. Idealizing others therefore losing one’s own identity. Holding too tightly onto the past.
A New Moon symbolizes: The beginning of a new cycle, the birth of something, emergence, clarity, a time of seeding for the future, a time to make conscious decisions about one’s future. A time for affirmations and starting new journeys.
The Quest Degree following this new Moon is Aries 1 – the degree of the Equinox!
The Quest Degree is the degree after a planet or a point. It is something we often
need to grow towards, to integrate, to realise, to accept into our lives perhaps. It
can be something that comes easily, or, it can be quite a lesson or a challenge.
Straight after you were born, the planet or point moved over this degree and it
was deposited into your very being both by transit and progression. For those
who understand astrology, you can see the Quest Symbol somewhat like the
Moon’s north node.
A WOMAN HAS RISEN OUT OF THE OCEAN, A SEAL IS EMBRACING HER
New understandings and awareness are coming to light. Whatever is emerging, either in you or around you needs to be accepted, welcomed and nurtured. It’s best to resist the old familiar ways of being or relating as they can pull you back to outgrown and possibly unsatisfactory conditions. Maybe you feel you are not being acknowledged, don’t have a voice or are not being heard. Take heart as comfort and salvation are likely to be found in the most unexpected places. Despite any setbacks, be aware that you possess the power to make the necessary changes in your life. It is time to claim your place or make a mark in this new world. So much potential lies ahead of you. Welcome this new beginning and be fearless in the face of the changes that are coming. Accept the ‘Embrace’ of those who welcome you into this new sphere. It is inevitable that you’ll leave something behind as you move into this new territory. Enjoy the journey and give birth to self-love, self-worth and divine creativity. Let go of the past and emerge into life and love.
I see this degree as finding your voice and finding your feet. After, all, a mermaid has to find both as she comes ashore into the embrace of life and love. This is the degree of the Equinox – we go into a brand new astrological year. What are you bringing into your new life?
Keywords: Cycles starting. Beginnings. Emergence into concrete manifestation. Embracing and honoring the shadow. Recognizing our animal side. Tropical islands or lands. Rocky shores. Seals. Oceans and water. Shedding skins. Transmutation. The Selkie myth. Grounding one’s energy. Stepping between the sea and the shore. Androgyny. Love and its embrace. Finding your feet and your voice. Mermaids.
The Caution: Using masculine power to overshadow emotions. Refusing to move on. Feeling held back by fears and old life patterns. Falling back into previous, unsatisfactory conditions. Dragging others backwards. Immobilizing fear of the unknown. Being just another “fish in the sea”.
